In the cinema world there is no anthropological theme more crucial than the reciprocal definition between the human being and the animal. The reason is that the cinematic dispositive is thus active through the body of its spectator. This work defines this relation through three recent films which have in common a specific care, related to the anxiety as well as to the virtualities of the present time (Holy Motors by Carax, Leviathan by Paravel and Castaing-Taylor, Adieu au langage by Godard).
