In Cinema 1 & 2, Deleuze uses the names of authors as the names of « abstract machines » : that is to say, of the intellectual instrument which operates at once a machine of production and a thought of cinema, in a word a cinematographic assemblage. The text proposes to follow this path, considering the author as the abstract machine of an assemblage. It is recalled that an arrangement has a material dimension and an enunciative dimension, which leads to affirm the solidarity of the artist and the team leader.
