Understanding meso processes A regulationist approach

This contribution aims to understand an overshadowed fact: regulation theory—far from being restricted to macroeconomics—is relevant for grasping the dynamics of meso-economic arenas and the processes of differentiation that structure them. Drawing on a wealth of works that have characterized these processes in a wide range of sectors and territories, we show how regulationist concepts shed light on meso-economic patterns. We develop a framework that identifies three main carriers of differentiation within meso-economic arenas and sheds light on a variety of evolutive meso-macro configurations.
