Sismondi’s polemical Hundred Days From the Réflexions to the Examen

The Hundred Days send a shock wave through the Coppet Group. Having stayed away from the political controversies agitating Europe, Sismondi welcomes Napoleon’s return from exile. While Germaine de Staël flees to Coppet, Sismondi actively supports the liberal orientation of the government in the press and in the Examen sur la Constitution française.
