Adapting the play Les affaires sont les affaires into a feature film required many changes. These changes were partly due to the period during which the film was shot, in the midst of the Occupation (1942), but also to the transition from one language to another. The analysis of three scenes to follow, in the small dining room, the kitchen and the forest, at the end of the first third of the film, testifies to this.
