Following on from research by Michel Pierssens and Gérard Touzeau, Cristina Ducasse and Kevin Saliou discuss the Bleumsteins of Buenos Aires. Together with the La Roche family, this important family managed one of the most important mills in the city and had their wheat imported from Montevideo. This article sheds light on the relationship between Bleumstein, La Roche, and the Ducasses of Montevideo and Cordoba, and seeks to determine which of the Bleumsteins is the unknown subject of the dedication of Poésies.
