Gérard Touzeau notes three new borrowings that enrich the vast and eclectic catalogue of readings of Isidore Ducasse. The first concerns Les Chants de Maldoror (the “pyramids of Egypt,” compared to anthills in the mathematics stanza), and the other two relate to the first part of Poésies (the “pneumatic machine” and the “worn-out locomotive”).
