Jean Giraudoux, a prophet of the ecological crisis?

This article analyzes Giraudoux’s environmentalism to establish whether the author can be called a prophet of the ecological crisis. Even if his work shares affinities with this current of thought, the author does not foresee the current environmental challenges with all its forms of pollution, global warming, species extinction, etc., but simply takes stock of the ecological and aesthetic damage caused by the modernization of interwar France.
