Clothed in many different stylistic manners, Giraudoux’s texts on sport develop a global philosophy, inspired both by the debates of the time and by the author’s own world-vision. Our objective here is to show how these inspirations exert their influences, guided by an ideal of the human being and of the city, and to examine the stylistic aspects of essay-writing in Giraudoux.
