The making of Pernette Du Guillet’s Rymes

The editorial singularities of the “amas de rimes” clearly displayed in the preface to Rymes (1545), the consideration of the peculiarities of the pieces published previously in songbooks or concomitantly in editions in which Antoine Du Moulin is involved, their disposal in a knowingly and subtly concerted ensemble reinforce doubts about the authenticity of Pernette Du Guillet – another paper creature?
