  • Abstract: The Sept articles de la foi are a long poem set in Hélinand stanzas (135 in the long version). In most manuscripts, this didactic treatise is attributed to Jean de Meun and often appears alongside the Testament and Codicille by the same author, appended to copies of Le Roman de la Rose; this trilogy reverberates like remorse or a testament after the errancy found in the Rose. However, the attribution of the text to Jean Chapuis beginning with the final stanza by Paulin Paris remains dubious.
