A tautology is a tautology Linguistic study of a paremic sub-category

The aim of this article is to provide a description of one type of sententious formula, tautologies, with properties and operational linguistic criteria that we will apply mainly to French and Spanish examples. We propose a definition intrinsic to the linguistic class of tautologies, which allows us to distinguish them from other sententious statements, such as proverbs.
