Naming and defining menstrual blood in French dictionaries (17^th-19^th century)

Menstruation has always been the subject of stereotypes and prejudices inherited from antiquity, which can be found in dictionaries in modern times. Several words refer to this biological phenomenon. In this article we aim to study in a discursive perspective the evolution of the description of this lexicon in a corpus of French dictionaries, from Richelet to Larousse.
