La marginalisation du féminin dans l’héritage grammatical de la langue arabe

The analysis of the works by ancient and contemporary Arabic language scholars reveals a linguistic bias against the feminine, on which grammar rules are established, reflecting a similar cultural bias that has dominated the Arab mind until today. This paper investigates the origin, the extent and the consequences of this cultural bias through the analysis of the founding texts of Arabic grammar.
