The interpretation and use of key Boethian concepts over time in the work of women authors writing in French

Boethius established a Latin terminology which had enormous repercussions on later theological, metaphysical, and logical developments. This study aims to discover the fate of three concepts strongly influenced by his thought: essence, eternity and person. To this end, I analyse non-fiction texts written by French-speaking women between the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries.
