Polish Style–Sex, Power and Greed Ancient, Contemporary, Historical and Post-Modern Thriller

Compared to other eastern cultures, it is mainly the national genre that fictionalizes Polish crime. It has a long tradition, mainly untranslated in French. During the People's Republic, it was mainly non-serial works that passed this barrier, while distinguishing themselves from the generic clichés of the time (Tyrmand, Mackiewicz, Gombrowicz). During the Third Republic, for contemporary narratives, new generic conventions served as a stepping stone not only for a Nobel Prize winner like Tokarczuk but also for serial writers (Miłoszewski, Chmielarz, Zulczyk).
