This article attempts to shed light on the imagination and practice of songs at Nerval, whether they belong to the folk song tradition or whether they are the work of a songwriter. Since it is the music that makes the song, we create a dialogue here between the scores and the texts, in particular in two poems that can be sung: “Les Pavés” (1831) and “Les Papillons” (1830).
