The articles that Gerard de Nerval wrote between August and December 1850 in various periodicals make it possible to appreciate the art of the Nervalian serial in what it does most successfully and encourages us to incorporate an often neglected corpus into our understanding of the author’s work. Everything takes place as if Nerval invited us to read this set of texts as a series, a single text that is open and luxuriant, essentially fantaisiste and dissident.
