Stricken with hemiplegia, Daniel Vierge relearns how to draw with his left hand and is entrusted, along with Auguste Leroux, with the illustration of Gaspard de la Nuit for Editions Pelletan. Never published, the compositions were exhibited in 1903 but have since disappeared. Only eleven works are currently known. Any new information would advance knowledge about the project.
