Privacy policy

This privacy policy informs you of and defines the way in which Classiques Garnier uses and protects the personal data that you provide when you use our site, which is accessible from the following URL: https://classiques-garnier.com/?lang=en_US (hereafter referred to in this document as “the site”).

In general, it is possible for you to visit the Classiques Garnier site without communicating personal information about yourself.

However, in order to take advantage of the services available on our site, you will be prompted to create an account with us. When creating this account, you will be asked for personal information such as: your first and last names, your email address, your mailing address, your postal code, and the city and country in which you reside. We collect these data solely in order to ensure the proper operation of our services. In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation passed by the European Parliament on April 14, 2016, and with the French law of January 6, 1978, on data processing, files, and freedoms, Classiques Garnier informs you of the following points:

2. Purposes of processing your personal data
Classiques Garnier may process your personal information in the circumstances listed below:

(a) for the purposes of providing you with the services that you have requested (including order delivery, download and delivery to your email address of digital resources, delivery of our newsletter); and/or

(b) for the purposes of gathering information that enables us to improve our site, products, and services (including through the use of cookies)

3. Recipients of your personal data
Classiques Garnier is the sole recipient of your personal information. These data, whether in individual or aggregated form, are never transmitted to a third party, notwithstanding service providers with which Classiques Garnier works in close collaboration (see point 6 for more information about such service providers). Neither Classiques Garnier nor any of its service providers will commercially exploit the personal data of the visitors and users of its site.

Your personal information is kept by Classiques Garnier for the period required to ensure the proper functioning of the services described in this document, in compliance with the current legislation. We keep and use your personal data only for the purposes of ensuring our legal obligations, resolving potential disputes, and carrying out any other activity defined in this policy.

5. Data processing rights and freedoms
You have a right to access your personal information stored on our site at any time via the dedicated “My Account” space if you are logged in. You may change this information at any time or request a file containing the personal data on you that we hold. You also have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to us at the address indicated in point 1. Please note, however, that this will not include data stored for administrative or legal purposes or for security reasons.

Classiques Garnier is committed to responding to your request for personal data portability or deletion in a reasonable time, which cannot exceed 1 month from receipt of your request.

6. Service providers
Classiques Garnier shares some of your personal data with Sodis, the organization responsible for preparing and delivering orders to homes. For the sole purpose of enabling and ensuring delivery services, Classiques Garnier shares the following with Sodis: last name, first name, mailing address, postal code, and city.

Classiques Garnier also shares your email address with SendinBlue, which provides software solutions for newsletter delivery.

These data are not reused for commercial purposes by Sodis or SendinBlue or resold to third-party persons or entities.

In relation to payment of purchases made online, the Classiques Garnier site does not in any case collect your banking data; at the time of proceeding to payment, you will be redirected to Société Générale’s site. This redirection is performed via SIPS (Secure Internet Payment Service), which is the remote payment service of Atos Wordline and ensures the security of your payments through data encryption.
