  • Abstract: This article studies the production of J. de Marnef, from the death of D. Janot in 1545 to her remarriage with É. Groulleau in 1547, in order to grasp her editorial and ­commercial strategies in a period of transition. J. de Marnef drew largely on the catalogue of ­competitors, adapting productions for Parisian tastes. This is thus a chance to examine the aesthetic and generic expectations of a public in terms of its geographic location in the kingdom in the mid-1540s.
