Minne unter den Bauern
Parodistische Darstellung im Spannungsfeld der Zeitenwende (Die Minnesänger des Strickers und der Lai de l’Oiselet)

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: Parodies courtoises, parodies de la courtoisie
  • Author: Majorossy (Imre Gábor)
  • Abstract: Although parody remains hidden in both works, they can be seen as opposite views of the same case. Actually, there is no final solution: despite the eloquence of Oiselet, the castle and the park remain possessions of the peasant. Similarly, the narrator speaks out in vain against dumped Minne, he cannot achieve a breakthrough. The Old French bird and the Middle High German narrator are fundamentally linked by the deep commitment to the courtly culture.
