The poem Credo in unam (Soleil et Chair) shows that the man of the Christian society lives in a double exile, worldly and celestial, similar to those of the Bible and Plato (Phaedrus, The Republic). He will rediscover the flow of love in the heathen Nature by reconciling the poles of any dualism.
