Social networks, a way for the lexical renewal of “languages of Italy”? The case of Instagram and exposed writing

Social networks appear to be immense reservoirs of plurilingual language practices for Italian speakers. Therefore, we have chosen them as a field of investigation to specifically explore the topic of the creation and lexical renewal of Apulia dialects. Our study is founded on the analysis of Instagram profiles dedicated to dialects (Tarantino in particular). Our hypothesis is that we can consider these as a particular case of “exposed writing”.
