Neologisms, a sub-type of lexical innovation Reflections based on general corpus studies in three Romance languages

This paper aims to (re-)consider the domain of lexical innovation by studying the comments on neologisms that can be found in general corpora of French, Italian and Spanish. From a usage-based perspective, neologisms emerge as a subtype of lexical innovations, being clearly perceived and evaluated as such by the speakers.
