Les œuvres de Tagore disponibles en français sont essentiellement publiées chez Zulma et chez Gallimard, le plus important de ses éditeurs historiques qui vient de publier un important volume d’Œuvres (coll. Quarto, 2020). Pour l’œuvre de Tagore en anglais, il convient de se reporter à The English Writings of Rabindranath Tagore, 4 vol., New Delhi, Sahitya Akademi, 2011-2012.
Les ouvrages consacrés à Rabindranath Tagore en Inde sont extrêmement abondants et il en paraît un grand nombre chaque année. Il en va autrement dans le monde francophone. À l’exception des ouvrages incontournables mentionnés quoi qu’il en soit, j’ai favorisé ici les ouvrages traduits ou non en français mais disponibles à la Bibliothèque nationale de France.
