In Éboueur sur échafaud, Abdel Hafed Benotman tells the story of four Bounoura children who, faced with different forms of violence within the family cocoon as well as outside, try to survive. In this black narrative verging on autobiography, Benotman questions his origins, his identity, his memory and offers the reader a testimony in which speech breaks free. Children are also victims of an indifferent French society, which in turn participates in barbarism.
