“Why Not?,” and emblematic formula in the Conversations on the Plurality of Worlds, is the necessary condition of a redefinition of the exercise of thought and thus confers on the imagination a heuristic function. How can we imagine what we have never seen or what would be unique? How, playing with points of view, can there be a heuristics of the imagination which aims not at solving problems as much as at stating them differently?
