The “human comedy” by Claude Simon From Le Vent to Le Tramway

The aim here is to observe how Claude Simon treats a number of social types and facts, particularly those he observed in his home province, from both a sociological and comic angle, with reference, sometimes implicit, sometimes explicit, to baroque comedy and Balzac's "comédie humaine", particularly at the two extremes of the work, in Le Vent.
