Review of the Relevance of the Negative Path Concept for the Interpretation of the Wittgenstein’s Tractatus

The purpose of this paper is to determine how the original approach of Wittgenstein’s Tractatus, whose reflection on the limits of language leads to a paradoxical conclusion and to an apparent mystical injunction to silence, can be understood in the light of the notion of negative way, as Pierre Hadot notably remarked. This must lead to a clarification of this rich and complex notion to see how it can give rise to a genuine philosophical and aesthetic concept.
