Port-Royal was an extraordinary “memoir laboratory” (P. Thouvenin) in the seventeenth century. The nuns' contribution is abundant and varied, but little known. Accounts, lives, memoirs, journals, and correspondence allow us to gain an in-depth understanding of the complexity and richness of the memorial writing gesture during the “Grand Siècle”.
