In 1820, a woman died whose rejection of the Church and unholy library were highlighted in a monarchist newspaper of the time. She was the Naigeon brothers’ sister, the last survivor of the siblings. We compare the constitutive parts of this “library” with the Catalogue des livres de feue Madame Dufour de Villeneuve, published a few weeks prior, and we recall what a monstrous anomaly an impious woman represented at the time.
