On a Heterodox collection from the Institut catholique de Lille (1.M.25) with “Champbonin” origins

This article looks at a new collection (of a late period) of “clandestine manuscripts,” including some that were printed, and its author, Louis François Toussaint Du Raget de Champbonin, who was born in 1719 and died before 1792, and whose family were close to the Du Châtelet family and Voltaire in Cirey. The collection of the ­Champbonins’ handwritten and printed texts, still relatively unknown, is the object of an initial reconstruction with a view to a more in-depth study, notably regarding the fragments of the individual texts.
