The Revolution dispersed aristocratic and religious library collections, making it difficult to track what happened to various authors and owners. But did this occur to such an extent that it completely made underground philosophical literature, its texts, its authors, and its problematics disappear from intellectual life? This is the question asked in this issue, one that the articles in this themed edition of the journal will attempt to answer.
