Notes on compiling my book Building: 3000 years of Engineering Design and Construction

This text presents a work in an unprecedented form. It covers three centuries in the history of construction from high Antiquity to today. The work indicates the concept of the field studied from the author’s own engineering experience and focuses on the search for the origins of the knowledge and skills of building designers instead of those of builders.
