Titus Andronicus’ hermeneutics is surprisingly limited ; ancient narratives are duplicated and literary figures recover their literal meaning through Titus’ actions. This negation of the figurative can be read as an attempt to renew the bond between words and reality, which has judicial, historical and poetical issues.
