Le Centaure and La Bacchante are the main focus of this article on Maurice de Guérin. The article first recalls the general movements of the two characters, then it focuses on their more precise activities and their moments of rest. In one, Guérin reveals the feeling of being, and in the other, divine possession. He thus teaches us different existential ways of being, beyond the strict utility that monopolizes us too often.
