During a stay in Europe in 1867, the Canadian priest and writer, Henri-Raymond Casgrain, a great admirer of Eugénie de Guérin, made a pilgrimage to Cayla. He recounts his journey and describes his emotions in two letters written to a friend, Abbé Pierre Minier Lagacé.
