The artist David Clerc evokes his work based on the poems of Jean-Claude Pirotte and the role of painting and the painter’s gaze in his manner of approaching writing. Is not writing, like painting, first and foremost a way of “forgetting the authorised reality which obscures our field of vision”, of “inventing mists, trees, the passage of light, of rain which falls and reflects ?”
