This study rereads Jean-Claude Pirotte’s œuvre in the light of one of his last books, Brouillard. Attentive to the “little miracle of the Pirottian sentence, suspended above the debacle or its everyday defeats”, it deploys “Pirotte’s novelistic manner”, blurring the boundaries of the real world and dream world in the narrative’s variations, deploying an “intimate constellation” of forever reread writers.
