Abstract: The transfer of small and medium-sized farms involves more and more candidates from outside the family (HCF) and from outside the farming community (NIMA). Our research shows how this can have a negative impact on the transferor's self-concept (the possessive self) and how to overcome it. To do this, we mobilised the theoretical framework of social psychology, which enabled us to use an original intervention tool in the support process.
