Towards a platform Capitalocene? Elements for a theoretical articulation

When Srnicek defines platform capitalism as the appropriation of a new raw material, namely data, he explains that “a useful relation could perhaps be drawn to Moore’s concept of cheap inputs, although this lies outside the scope of this study”. The ambition of this article is to explore such a useful relation, in order to propose a theoretical articulation between the work of these two authors, thanks to the concept of “Platform Capitalocene”.
