The fight against hate content on the Internet The former article 1, paragraph II of the Avia law in light of the question of liability

This chronicle deals with the issue of hate speech regulation on the Internet. It analyses in particular article one of the « Avia » law proposal. Though justified in the context of the fight againts hate speech, the means which are proposed raise a lot of issues. They are presented here in a way which widen the debate in order to highlight the risk of confusion between state activities and business activities, and showing at the same time how difficult it is to regulate.
