Introducing the dossier The economics of platforms, between rent and commons

Antonio Casilli’s subject is in line with the perspective outlined by Deleuze and Guattari, with the conjunction of enslavement and subjection in an algorithmic submission, combining digital labor, cognitive capitalism, Attention Economy and the psychopathology of generalized disruption. To reflect this, we favor the central concept of platformization, from which all the processes related to digital labor, value extraction and taskification take place.
