This article offers an analysis of ideological production in digital intermediation platforms, in the context of the so-called collaborative or “sharing” economy. It shows that there are three dominant ideological variants in a spectrum ranging from the justification of the neoliberal order to an assertion of a more humane, reformist capitalism, and on towards a more radical vision of a commons-based, cooperativist society.
