The online bookstore has been growing steadily since the beginning of the 2000s. Dominated in France by Amazon and Fnac, it is gradually being invested by independent bookstores. The alternative offer to the dominant players is proposed both by the individual sites of large booksellers and by about twenty collective platforms. The latter appear in a scattered order but try to transpose into the digital universe the traditional values of the independent bookstore.
