Does field philosophy have grounds? The distance of the field and the grounds of understanding

From Socrates dialogue with all kinds of “grounds” to the claim today of a philosophy which is not applied but implied, we may ask: is rethinking the ground in philosophy not also rethinking the act of philosophizing, at a time when the history of philosophy seems to be its main “ground”? Is the ground in philosophy simply an illustration of abstract theses, a logical argument or a redefinition of what it means to understand oneself by paying attention to “experiences” in which humans try to tell themselves to each other?
