A methodological proposition for field philosophy in light of Martha ­Nussbaum’s reflections on emotions

This article proposes a method for fieldwork in philosophy inspired by Martha Nussbaum. By taking the example of a current research project on patient empowerment, the article describes the approach taken by the researcher to conceptualize the subject with emotions. This method is also inspired from methodological tools in the social and human sciences. The article concludes with a discussion on the purpose of doing fieldwork in philosophy.
