“Tranhumanism in reverse. From Teilhard to Dante”. When analyzing transhumanism, one should underline above all the prefix “trans”, understood following Dante as one of the highest forms of desire. This article shows that with this “trans” Western society opens itself up to various disorders that the Ancients would have regarded as “superstitions”. We shall thus look to Vico in search of a form of balance: all form of progress have to be offset by a proportional archaic sympathy.
