Transparency policy and media coverage of images Three cases of police brutality in Europe

This article proposes a cross-reading of three cases of violence involving protesting crowds and police forces, based on audiovisual documents, photographs and digital modeling. This analysis, by questioning the conditions of elaboration of these images and their conditions of visibility, tries to define the stakes that these formalize on the media level and on the political level, with regard to a doxa of transparency prevailing today both on the side of the State and in the field of the media or civil society, as if images now spoke for themselves.
